SABER
Silver brass frame. Six-pointed hilt forming a shell with openwork palmettes at the front, this shell is lined with a large flaming bomb (H 9.3 cm, width 6.3 cm). Cap with short octagonal tail, pommel decorated with a palmette. Black horn grip with double silver filigree. Clevis cover attached below the frame. Curved blade with double hollow sides, length 93.4 cm, engraved and gilded with military trophies and floral decorations in its first third, signed on the heel "KEEPER / merchant / supplier / at the Grand / Vainqueur / Rue St / Honoré / N ° 229 / opposite / Du Palais / Royal / in Paris” with a blued background. Black patent leather scabbard with three line-engraved silver-plated brass fittings with foliage and engraved molding with scalloped edges, with two bail rings of the same metal.

Saber in good condition, silvering largely preserved, split handle, blade in perfect state of conservation having preserved all its gold and its blued, varnish of the leather of the rubbed scabbard, slightly desilvered fittings.
Wrist strap in good condition, oxidized trimmings.
