Round miniature D 5.8 cm (at sight).
Watercolor and gouache.
Bust portrait representing a hussar in black pelisse with braids, buttons and silver racket cord, pelisse lined with black fur.
Presented in a brass rod frame D 7.2 cm, under bedside glass, and in a wooden bowl frame, H 13.3 cm, width 13.1 cm.

Very good state.

NOTE :
At the back of the frame is stuck a paper label handwritten in ink “Ancestor of Miss Suzanne MARTIN on her father's side who was called DUJARDIN (was that her name?). Mr Dujardin, a direct descendant of this hussar, was in 1870 president of the chamber of notaries of Paris, Miss Martin's brother was the secretary of the Count of Paris. Black or Death Hussar around February 1793.
In general, inhabitants of the Northern departments, the Convention admitted them into the mass of the forces of the Republic after a few months; they were incorporated into the regiments of hussars and mounted hunters.”

RETURN POLICY
Items can be returned within 8 days of receipt. They must be returned by registered mail at the sender's expense, in their original packaging, and in their original condition.
