NOTE
Aïn Boudinar (formerly Bellecôte during the French Algeria period) is a commune in the wilaya of Mostaganem in Algeria.
In western Algeria, this place is located 12 km northeast of Mostaganem. BELLE-CÔTE was a very prosperous village on the plateau of Mostaganem, at 253 m above sea level, 2 km from the left bank of the Chélif, facing the cliffs of DAHRA (to the north), 6 km from the Mediterranean.
Unhappy with its Arabic name AÏN-BOUDINAR, which means "the source of the man with the Financier's coins," the village managed to replace it with BELLE-CÔTE.
It was founded in 1849 by concessionaires from different parts of France. In the beginning, like TOUNIN, the village was under the jurisdiction of the town hall of PELISSIER before being established as a full-fledged municipality.
