HELMET OF FIREFIGHTERS OF THE POUDRERIE DE SAINT MÉDARD EN JALLES, type 1933, Fifth Republic. 25264
Slightly trapezoidal shaped bomb in nickel-plated steel, retaining the characteristics of the 1926 model helmet with ventilation holes, leaf springs and chin strap attachments. Folded brass bangle straddling the outer edge of the visor and the neck cover. Flat present on the front of the crest with flaming bomb attached in brass. Polished and chrome-plated crest fixed with dull rivets. Stamped brass front plate representing a smooth shield with the powder insignia stamped with a flaming bomb surmounted by a crown, oak and laurel branches and a ribbon bearing the inscription “SAPEURS POMPIERS POUDRERIE DE St MÉDARD”. Interior headdress in ocher calfskin cut into eight wolf teeth. Ocher leather chin strap.
