HUSSARD OFFICER'S SABER, Consulate - First Empire. 25861
Brass frame. Guard at a branch. Long-tailed cap with pommel in the shape of a lion's head. Wooden handle entirely copper filigree. Curved blade with hollow sides engraved on its first third with military trophies, floral decorations and on one side of a charging hussar with the motto “VT HUSSAR” (Vivat Hussard), blade length 85 cm. Wooden scabbard covered with black waxed leather at the level of the central part forming a hollow, with two large brass fittings decorated with features with brass eyebolts and bail rings, central part completed with two brass splints.

Very good condition except for the blade which is oxidized and the tip blunt.
