Huile sur toile, signée du monogramme en bas à droite « A lle B » et datée 1847. Elle représente un capitaine des Chasseurs d'Afrique en buste, en dolman de grande tenue arborant la croix de la Légion d'Honneur et la croix de chevalier de l'ordre de Saint-Grégoire le Grand à titre civil, dans un paysage d'Afrique du Nord. H 81 cm, largeur 65 cm.
