Guard with three branches in the shape of an N, hallmarked with the rooster, which is a reception hallmark of the war administration from 1793 used until 1798-1799, control hallmark to compensate for the absence of military inspectors, and "B" surmounted by a crown of F. Bisch, first class controller from July 1783 to 1791, and "D" surmounted by a crown of the deputy director of Cabannes, deputy director acting as inspector from July 1791 to August 1792. Short-tailed crown. Square section handle in wood covered in black waxed calfskin with brass filigree. Slightly curved blade with hollow sides, length 90.6 cm, hallmarked with the lictors' beam which is a reception hallmark of the war administration from 1793 used until 1798-1799, control hallmark to compensate for the absence of military inspectors, and two illegible hallmarks. Black patent leather scabbard with three brass fittings and scalloped edges. Brass bail eyebolts and rings.
