Brass frame. Guard with a branch decorated with features hallmarked with a rooster, which is a reception hallmark of the war administration from 1793 used until 1798-1799, control hallmark to compensate for the absence of military inspectors with decorated mumps to the features. Long-tailed cap decorated with features. Wooden handle covered in black waxed calfskin, brass filigree. Curved blade with hollow sides, length 79 cm, width at the heel 3.7 cm, signed on the back "KLINGENTHAL", hallmarked with the lictors' beam which is a reception hallmark of the war administration from 1793 used until 1798-1799, control mark to compensate for the absence of military inspectors, “MK” in a crown of pearls for Manufacture de Klingenthal, mark in use from September 1792 to 1798, and another illegible mark; obverse of blade engraved “Franse”, reverse of blade engraved “Repe”. Wooden scabbard covered in black waxed leather with two large brass fittings decorated with lines and edges cut into festoons, with brass bail eyebolts and steel rings. Central part of the scabbard lined with two brass splints. Steel stinger. Screed with bowl entry.
