Brass hilt. Guard with one branch decorated with engraved lines and stamped with the rooster mark (a stamp used for revolutionary productions from 1793), which is a stamp of acceptance by the war administration from 1793 used until 1798-1799, a control stamp to compensate for the absence of military inspectors, with decorated ears. Pommel with long tail, decorated with lines. Handle made of wood covered with black waxed calfskin, with brass wire filigree. Curved blade with hollow facets, 79 cm in length, 3.7 cm wide at the base, signed on the back "KLINGENTHAL", stamped with the fasces of lictors which is a stamp of acceptance by the war administration from 1793 used until 1798-1799, a control stamp to compensate for the absence of military inspectors, "MK" in a crown of pearls for Manufacture de Klingenthal, stamp in use from September 1792 to 1798, and another illegible stamp; blade obverse engraved with "Franse", reverse engraved with "Répe". Wooden scabbard covered with black waxed leather with two large brass fittings decorated with lines and scalloped edges, with brass belt loops and steel rings. Central part of the scabbard fitted with two brass braces. Steel blade. Chape with cup opening.
