Brass frame. Five-branched guard forming a shell with an openwork palmette called a “battle guard”. Octagonal shaped cap in decorated brass with short tail features. Wooden handle covered in black waxed calfskin with brass filigree. Straight double-grooved blade, length 91.5 cm, engraved and gilded on its first third with military trophies and floral decorations, signed on the heel "IS & C", all on a blued background. Remnant of scarlet cloth tie. Black patent leather scabbard with three brass fittings with scalloped edges, decorated with lines.
