Iron frame. Three-pronged guard. Long-tailed cap. Wooden handle carved in slanted gadroons. Steel ferrule decorated with lines. Curved blade with hollow sides, length 83.6 cm, engraved in the lower part with the motto “Für / Das / Vaterland” framed by floral trophies surmounted by the arms of the Counts Palatine of the Rhine; on the other side, the same motto surmounted by the initials “JC” and a royal crown.

Good condition, oxidation from use on the steel parts, without scabbard.
NOTE :
This model of saber will be used by the Bavarian army in the service of France after the Congress of Vienna.
