Gilded brass frame. Five-branched guard. Full keyboard at the front, reduced counter-keyboard with openwork exterior molding. Crown decorated with short-tailed features. Rectangular wooden handle entirely copper filigree. Straight blade with flat back and hollow sides, length 87.5 cm, engraved on its first third with a floral decoration on one side; on the other side, the Arms of France on which the fleurs-de-lys and the crown have been scratched. Black patent leather scabbard with three gilded brass fittings with festoon-cut edges, eyebolts and bail rings in gilded brass; they are decorated with features: the cap has a hexagonal motif engraved with an imperial eagle, the central bracelet has a diamond motif decorated with a flower, the bouterolle is engraved with corollas of foliage and acanthus leaves. All three trims bear a “D” hallmark.
