Gilt brass hilt. Five-branch guard. Full front knuckle bow, reduced-size counter guard with exterior openwork molding. Cap decorated with short-tailed lines. Rectangular wooden handle entirely filigreed in copper. Straight blade with a flat back and hollow edges, length 87.5 cm, engraved on the first third with floral decoration on one side; on the other side, the Arms of France with the fleur-de-lis and crown scratched out. Black varnished leather scabbard with three gilded brass fittings with scalloped edges, gilded brass rings and suspension rings; they are decorated with lines: the drag has a hexagonal motif engraved with an imperial eagle, the central ring has a lozenge motif decorated with a flower, the tip of the scabbard engraved with foliage and acanthus leaves. The three fittings bear a "D" hallmark.
