FIREFIGHTER'S HELMET KNOWN AS "PETITCOLLIN" FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF INDRE-ET-LOIRE, type 1961, Fifth Republic. 25286

Molded in white fiberglass-reinforced polyester, under the visor it bears the raised marking "FRANCE PETITCOLLIN PARIS". Attached to the front is a stamped brass plate representing a shield with a flaming bomb, topped with a crown, and framed by an oak and laurel branch, with a ribbon at the top carrying the inscription "FIREFIGHTERS INDRE ET LOIRE". The interior of the helmet is in dark brown leather and beige canvas, similar to the French military helmet model 1951, with a white lacquered chin strap.
