HELMET OF FIREFIGHTERS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, model of October 5, 1933, Fifth Republic. 24457-inst
Slightly trapezoidal shaped bomb in aluminum-colored painted and varnished steel, retaining the characteristics of the 1926 model helmet with ventilation holes, leaf springs and chin strap attachments. Folded brass bangle straddling the outer edge of the visor and neck cover painted and varnished in aluminum color. Neck cover stamped “B. FRANCK & SES FILS. AUBERVILLIERS”, registered “5402” then re-registered “1193”. Flat present on the front of the crest with flaming bomb attached in brass. Polished and chrome-plated crest fixed with dull rivets. Stamped copper front plaque representing a shield with the arms of the city of Paris surmounted by a crown, with oak and laurel branches on each side, all surmounted by a ribbon bearing the inscription “FLUCTUAT NEC MERGITUR”. Black leather chin strap. Inner headdress in black leather cut into six wolf teeth.
