SENIOR OFFICER'S SWORD OF ALL WEAPONS AND MILITARY ADMINISTRATION, model 1872, Third Republic. 25804

Gilded brass frame. Guard at a branch. Keyboard decorated with a bundle of flags with a wreath of oak and laurel attached and riveted. Folding counter-keyboard. Short-tailed pommel modeled on the 1816 swords. Silver filigree horn hilt. Two-sided blade signed “Couleaux & Cie Klingenthal”, length 86.7 cm. Natural buffalo tie. Nickel-plated metal scabbard with a bail ring.
