BICORNE HAT OF THE KING'S BODYGUARDS, LUXEMBOURG COMPANY, 1814 model, Restoration period.
Made of black felt, height at the front 26 cm, height at the back 33.5 cm, width 40 cm, depth approximately 12 cm. Trimmed at the front and back with four silver soutaches. The front part is trimmed at the top with a silver passementerie cockade, 7.5 cm in diameter, with a silvered metal loop embossed with a series of scales (not the standard model, probably a fancy design), 2.7 cm wide, attached at its base with a large silvered metal uniform button stamped with the face of the sun on a radiant background, button diameter 2.5 cm. Each corner is adorned with a silver passementerie tassel. The inner lining consists of a brown leather headband topped with a black silk cap. Lenticular wooden tassel covered with silver cannetilles with a jonquil-colored wool center, 4.7 cm in diameter.
Presented in its cardboard carrying box covered with blue paper with orange paper edges, height 38 cm, width 48 cm, depth 16.5 cm.

Poor condition, damage and losses to the felt of the hat; box in fair condition with worn corners, some losses and tears reinforced with tape in places.
