TRUMPET BANNER OF THE REGIMENT OF THE ZOUAVES OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, Second Empire. 23271

Double-sided banner made of dark blue cloth, square in shape measuring 35.5 cm x 35.5 cm without the fringes. Embroidered in the center in jonquil cotton thread is an "N" surmounted by the imperial crown, with the embroidered part measuring 15.8 cm in height and 15 cm in width. The banner is bordered by a 1.6 cm wide jonquil braid, sewn 2.4 cm from the edge of the banner. It is bordered on three sides by 7.2 cm long jonquil fringes. At the top, the banner forms a reinforced sheath with a thin whalebone. On each side, a brass half-bell button and a strip of jonquil cloth lined with light brown calf leather, 2 cm in width and 6.5 cm in length, are sewn.
