CZAPSKA PLATE OF POLISH OR DUTCH LANCER OFFICER OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, model 1807, First Empire.
Plate in gilded brass stamped with rays in relief, H 15.2 cm, width with the curvature 22.6 cm, with central semicircular part in silvered copper with sandblasted bottom and external molding, H 6.8 cm, width 8, 1 cm, plate whose center is decorated with a gilded copper "N" fixed in the center by means of four copper staples, H 2.9 cm, width 3 cm, surmounted by an imperial crown in gilded copper of 2 cm high and 2.5 cm wide. The plate is pierced on its ends with ten holes intended for attachment to the body of the hairstyle. France. First Empire. Good condition, wear to the gilding, plate not cleaned. NOTE: The Polish Chevau-légers were created in 1807 and the Dutch Lancers in 1810. Their czapska differs by the color of the flags -crimson for the Poles, scarlet for the Dutch-. The plates that have come down to us with the original imperial insignia are of the greatest rarity. Plate: H 15.5 cm, width 15 cm. Silver center: H 7 cm, width 9 cm. “N”: H 3 cm, W 2.8 cm. Imperial crown: H 2.7 cm, W 2.7 cm. 3/ CZAPSKA OF CAPTAIN LIEUTENANT PIERRE JULES SOUFFLOT OF THE 2nd REGIMENT OF LIGHT HORSE LANCERS OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, CALLED “RED LANCIERS” or “HOLLAND LANCIERS”, First Empire (1814-1815). Plate: H 15.5 cm, width 23.5 cm. Silver center: H 6.7 cm, width 10 cm. "N" and imperial crown abolished in 1814.
