Roman-style mount, H 15.5 cm, in one-piece brass with symmetrical cruise and handle decorated with 18 rows of scales. Strong pommel deeply engraved on each side with a large fleur-de-lys. At the top of the pommel, an iron rivet is intended to secure the blade reinforced by three strong transverse iron pins in the center of the handle.
Blade 48.6 cm long, width at the heel 4.4 cm, symmetrical double-edged hollowed out with three hollow sides per side, heel stamped with “D” surmounted by a star of the director DUBOCK, 1823 - 1830. Model scabbard 1816 in blackened leather with two brass fittings, trigger guard intended to receive a buffalo pull.
