KNIGHT'S CROSS OF THE LEGION OF HONOR, 1830-1848, July Monarchy.
Silver and enamel star with five double-pointed rays, enameled in white, framed by a wreath of oak and laurel leaves in light green enamel. The obverse center in gold depicts the profile effigy of Henri IV facing left on a radiant background, bordered by a blue enamel ribbon with the inscription "HENRI IV" in gold letters. The reverse center features two crossed French tricolor enamel flags on a field of azure, bordered by a blue ribbon with the inscription "HONNEUR ET PATRIE". Silver hallmarks at the bottom of the ribbon.
Crown-shaped bale with arches decorated with palmettes topped by a globe with a cross, independent and movable, the globe pierced by a fluted suspension ring. The crown has a hook inside to be passed through the suspension ball of the easel located between the two upper branches of the cross.
