LIGHT CAVALRY OFFICER'S SABER, luxury blade, Restoration. 25599
Brass frame. Three-pronged guard. Long-tailed cap. Wooden handle covered in light gray shagreen (model never having had a watermark). Curved hollow-sided blade in damascus with first third richly etched, length 86.5 cm, back engraved with a laurel branch; front of the blade signed on the heel “à KLINGENTHGAL”, engraved in an oval medallion “J” placed on a bundle of flags with military trophy and hussar sabretache; this medallion is surmounted by a cartouche representing a charge during a fight between two light cavalry regiments. The other side of the blade is signed "COULAUX Frères", with military trophy of hussars with shako, sabre, cartridge case and sabretache, and a cartridge with light cavalry charge (different scene from the front of the sabre). Steel scabbard with two bail bracelets also in steel, steel bowl.

Restoration.
Good condition, mount in very good condition but having lost its gilding, blade in perfect condition, scabbard to be cleaned, saber never cleaned since the time, remained in its original condition.
