PRUSSIAN CUIRASSIER OFFICER'S SWORD, Late 19th - Early 20th century, 1872-1918. 25598
Gilded bronze frame. Guard at a branch. Bivalve keyboard with folding counter-keyboard. Pommel decorated with acanthus leaves. Wooden rocket entirely filigree of silver. Straight blade with hollow sides, 87 cm long, signed on one side of the heel "W.K & C" and on the other side "MOHR & SPEYER STRASSBURGi / E."; it is richly etched with corollas of foliage on both sides, with the German imperial eagle on the front side. Scarlet cloth tie. Black patent leather scabbard with two large brass fittings.

Good condition, watermark complete but broken and loose, blade slightly oxidized, peeling varnish of the scabbard with leather having a fold mark in the middle.
