Bomb, visor and neck cover in black patent leather, with all fittings in silver-plated copper.
Frontal plaque representing a large oval shield in the center of which is stapled a fleur-de-lys in gilded copper (H 5.3 cm, width 3.5 cm), this shield is surmounted by the royal crown marked at its base “DELPONT À PARIS” and framed on each side by a palm.
The base of the bomb is garnished at the front and back with an undecorated band with molded borders.
Round visor, green waxed inside, surrounded by a rush folded astride the outer edge.
Unhooked neck cover, black oilskin inside.
Chinstraps composed of: two fine leather chin straps covered with scales cut into festoons; two rosettes in the shape of a radiant sun in the center of which a small fleur-de-lis in gilded brass is attached. The chin straps end with two black silk ribbons.
Plumet holder with a square section, decreasing in shape towards the bottom.
Crest composed of two fins and a mask.
The fins, placed vertically, have the shape of a curvilinear triangle convex at its upper part which connects with the bomb through its concave base forming a scalloped edge. This rim is attached to the bomb using two silver-plated copper screws held inside the helmet by square copper nuts. The fins have a sandblasted base with the edges decorated with a molded strip lined inside with a series of triangles, all stamped in relief. The mask is embossed with a laurel branch.

Good condition, three scales missing from one of the chin straps, cord connecting the two chin straps changed later, hook at the base of the crest missing.
