CAVALRY OFFICER'S PISTOL CIRCA 1740, Former Monarchy. 25110

Five-sided thunder barrel then round, length 35 cm, with breech tail 40.5 cm, engraved with lines, brass sight. Flintlock engraved with a military trophy and signed by the gunsmith (partially erased) “I...ANAY.A...ONT...ON”. Iron fittings, engraved and carved with floral motifs. Thumb piece in the shape of a coat of arms, grotesque cap and matching underguard. Walnut frame carved with foliage. Wooden chopstick, faceted steel chopstick holder.
Weapon length 53.5 cm.

Good condition, barrel and fittings in oxidized steel, frame framed in the front part for approximately 14 cm, very nice repair probably from the period, some small accidents to the wood, modern stick.
