Made of silver, with a round shape, engraved by Barre, depicting on the obverse the effigy of the emperor crowned with laurel, framed by the legend "NAPOLEON III EMPEROR" and bordered by a laurel wreath. On the reverse, the inscription "ITALIAN CAMPAIGN - 1859" surrounding the names of the battles "MONTEBELLO, PALESTRO, TURBIGO, MAGENTA, MARIGNAN, SOLFERINO." Diameter 3.1 cm.
