Brass hilt. Three-branched guard forming scrolls. At the bottom, the fleur-de-lis present on the 1783 model has been mutilated and transformed into a bundle of fasces topped with a revolutionary bonnet (modification made from 1792). Plate stamped with a rooster (stamp for revolutionary productions from 1793), stamped "QUANTIN" (stamp for revolutionary productions from 1793). Cap with a short tail, handle in black waxed wood with filigree brass. Straight flat blade, length 94.7 cm, stamped with a bundle of fasces. Black leather scabbard with three brass fittings with scalloped edges and steel ring belts at the chape and central fitting. Chape stamped twice with "J C" in an oval and "O" in a circle.
