CASQUETTE DE FEU, ou CASQUE D'INCENDIE EN TÔLE, Second Empire.

Casquette de feu en fer étamé recouvert de vernis noir, constituée d'une calotte demi-sphérique et d'un bandeau droit. Visière et couvre-nuque rivetés et cerclés d'un jonc en laiton plié à cheval sur la bordure extérieure. Jugulaires composées de deux rosaces rondes en laiton de forme ronde estampées de godrons et de deux mentonnières en cuir recouvert d'une plaque en laiton estampé monobloc d'une suite d'écailles festonnées. Coiffe intérieure composée d'un bandeau en cuir verni noir surmonté d'un turban en toile brun.

Assez bon état, vernis avec oxydation d'usage, plaque frontale manquante, cordonnet qui relie les deux mentonnières manquant.

NOTE :
Ces casques apparaissent sous la Monarchie de Juillet, ils sont encore présentés dans les catalogues des fournisseurs dans les années 1900.
