HELMET OF A FIRE OFFICER OF THE COMMUNE OF LUNAY, type 1895, Third Republic. 23978

Entirely in chromed metal. Spherical bomb edged in the lower part with a protruding rim. Visor and neck cover spray-welded in the lower part, they are folded on themselves to form a border strip. Crest with internal fixing screws to the bomb, decorated with a flaming bomb on the mask, front plate in gilded brass representing a shield stamped with a flaming grenade, surmounted by a crown and a ribbon bearing the inscription “ LUNAY FIREMEN” framed with oak and laurel branches. Tubular plume holder with square section decreasing slightly downwards engraved with acanthus leaves. Chin strap in black patent leather with steel buckles. Inner cap in black waxed leather cut into nine wolf teeth gilded with iron on the edges.
