GUARD OF HONOR STANDARD POINT, First Empire. 23574
Example in two-part cast brass (eagle and pike) in the round. H 7.1 cm. It depicts a pike in the shape of a lance head pierced with the imperial eagle holding the terrestrial globe in its talons (H of the point 20.9 cm). This point surmounts a straight base (H 9.8 cm, diameter at the base 3.4 cm).
The eagle is mounted on a screw thread which fixes to the base of the point. At the back of the eagle, a screw thread and notch are welded, intended to receive a banner in the shape of a ribbon, cast in brass, likely bearing the inscription "GARDE D'HONNEUR."
Total height 30.7 cm.
