In black taupé felt, edged with a black silk braid woven with oak and laurel leaves (width of the braid 3.2 cm). Tricolor silk cockade, diameter 8.6 cm. Black velvet braid richly embroidered with silver threads, purls and sequins of a double baguette with oak leaf interlacing. Large module uniform button in silver metal representing the imperial crown surmounted by a ribbon bearing the inscription " HARAS IMPERIAUX ". Interior cap in white silk. Length 44.6 cm, H at the front 13.8 cm, H at the back 20.7 cm, width 17 cm. France. Second Empire. Good condition, black silk braid worn on the edges, braid in purlins with oxidation from use, interior cap with unstitched lower part, missing the interior calfskin band.
