Monture en laiton. Garde à quatre branches, branche principale matriculée « 55219 », poinçons « S » sous étoile du contrôleur de 2e classe G. Schaffner, 1885-1891. Calotte à courte queue. Poignée en bois gainé de veau ciré noir filigrané laiton. Lame droite à deux pans creux, longueur 99,5 cm, dos de lame signé « Manuf Rale de Châtellerault février 1837 » ; elle comporte deux poinçons difficilement lisibles. Cravate en buffle naturel. Fourreau en acier à deux bracelets de bélière, sans matricule.

Très bon état, remontage sous la Troisième République à partir d' éléments d'époque et une lame au modèle mais postérieure avec signature sans garantie.
