TSUBA À DÉCOR AJOURÉ DE CHRYSANTHÈMES « KIKU » ET FEUILLAGES, Ère Edo.

Tsuba à base de fer rehaussé d’or sur deux bords. Décor complexe de deux demi-fleurs de chrysanthème ajourées, fleur faisant parti des emblèmes impériaux, et de feuillages ondoyant dans le vent, à la manière de vagues déchainées, encerclés d'une bordure dorée. Les orifices de fonctions sont rebouchés avec un métal tendre patiné noir. Le nakago-ana est comblé de cuivre, de part et d’autre, pour adapter parfaitement tsuba et lame.

Mumei (non signé), mokko gata (forme quadrilobé), maru mimi (bord bombé), sukashi (ajouré).
