INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD, model 1855, Second Empire.
Brass hilt similar to the model 1845 with a narrower design, featuring three branches forming a shell decorated with an oak branch and laurel branch on a background of a bundle of flags. Pommel with a long tail decorated with an oak branch, laurel, and a palmette. Horn grip. Slightly curved blade with hollow flutes, signature on the spine illegible, length 59 cm.

Fair condition, missing the wire binding, oxidized blade, without scabbard.
