ARTILLERY OR ENGINEER GUNNER'S SABER, model 1792 Revolution.

Handle entirely made of brass in one piece without transverse rivets, produced by private industry, bearing a cock stamp (stamp for revolutionary productions starting from 1793), handle intricately carved in the shape of a lion's head with a flat guard.
Curved blade with hollow facets, stamped with a fasces stamp, length 58 cm.

Black varnished leather scabbard with two brass fittings.

Good condition, blade oxidized, scabbard varnish chipped, chape missing its belt loop.
