SABRETACHE D'OFFICIER DU 1er régiment D'ÉCLAIREURS DE LA GARDE IMPÉRIALE, modèle 1813, Premier Empire (vers 1813-1814).

En cuir verni noir (H 34 cm, largeur en partie haute 22 cm, largeur en partie basse 29,5 cm). Elle est bordée d'un jonc en cuir plié à cheval et cousu sur la bordure extérieure par un triple fil d'argent.
En son centre, une aigle impériale estampée en argent tenant dans ses serres le fuseau de Jupiter étincelant (H 10,2 cm, largeur 10 cm). Elle est surmontée d'une couronne impériale de même métal (H 4,5 cm, largeur 4,8 cm). L'aigle est fixée au moyen de quatre pattes soudées à l'arrière dans lesquelles un lacet est passé du côté intérieur de la sabretache. La couronne est fixée par trois pattes en métal rabattues.
À l'intérieur de la pattelette, une poche en cuir ciré noir, doublée à l'intérieur de toile écrue, est aménagée. Elle ferme par un bouton roulé en cuir.
En partie supérieure, trois demis anneaux de suspension en métal argenté sont cousus pour la fixation aux courroies de suspension.

Exceptionnel état de conservation, proche du neuf, à l'exception de quelques craquelures sur l'extérieur du vernis.

Cette sabretache provient d'un particulier, jamais passée en collection jusqu'à ce jour.
Même provenance que la giberne d'officier des Éclaireurs de la Garde que je présente sous la référence 22784.
