Brass frame. Guard with four branches forming a shell, representing a crown of laurel branches with in its center a silver metal glory on which the large imperial mantle in molten brass is riveted. Short-tailed cap decorated with laurel branches. Horn handle filigreed with gilded brass. Straight hollow-sided blade with back signed “Mre Imple de Châlt April 1854”, unmarked, length 1 m 04. Bleached buffalo tie. Steel scabbard with two bail bracelets.
