OFFICER'S LIGHT CAVALRY POUCH, Restoration period.

Wooden box covered in waxed black leather with gilt brass flanks, height 8 cm, width 14.8 cm, depth 3 cm. Black varnished leather shoulder patch, height 11 cm, width at bottom 16.2 cm, width at top 14.8 cm, with guilloche brass edging and central motif in cast brass depicting the Arms of France framed by two palm branches on a background of flag bundles. Black waxed leather band 5.9 cm wide, gilt brass buckles and fittings. At the front, an openwork royal crown connecting with three chains to a shield embossed with a medallion of three fleur-de-lis surrounded by two palm branches.
