With this new reference work, Michel Pétard traces the detailed history of the hussar saber in the service of France from the end of the 17th century to the present day; this formidable weapon, characteristic of oriental fencing, will permanently deviate from French tradition. More than 100 swords presented, through more than 250 photographs and 80 drawings and engravings.
A4 format, 152 pages, printed in four colors. Cover on modern wood-free satin coated paper, 135g acrylic varnish; interior pages on 150 coated paper; bound re-edged on square spine sewn and re-pinched cardboard.
