Ribbon in the national colors of blue-white-red, with vertical black and green stripes at the ends. Clasp featuring the dates of the Franco-Prussian War "1870-1871".

Created by decree on November 9, 1911, awarded with a personalized diploma to 150,000 surviving veterans. The project was spearheaded by Senator Maurice BERTEAUX.
