Monture en laiton du type des épées unies pour les officiers subalternes et les officiers de la Troisième République, sans ciselure. Monture à contre clavier ployant, clavier orné de la couronne civique liant des palmes de chêne et de laurier par un bandeau. Poignée en bois entièrement filigrané. Lame blanche, longueur 77,5 cm, signée au talon « Klingenthal ». Fourreau en cuir verni noir noir du modèle utilisé jusqu'en 1884, à deux garnitures de laiton.
