This booklet of 8 pages of printed text relates in detail the imposing ceremony of March 27, 1831, during which took place the distribution by the King of flags and standards to the different corps of the army. The text of the speech given by the king is reproduced there.
“A pavilion had been raised in front, a hundred meters from the facade of the Ecole-Militaire (...) the flags and standards were grouped in bundles in front of the pavilion (...)
The line troops were formed by divisions and brigades in the following order:
Infantry (...)
Cavalry (...)
Artillery and Engineering (...)
The king then mounted the dais surrounded by deputations from the various regiments present at the ceremony and addressed them with the following speech (...)”
