Gilt bronze mount, guard with four branches decorated with laurel leaves, signed "MANCEAUX A PARIS" under the keyboard. Rolled cap decorated with laurel branches, short tail. Wooden handle sheathed in black waxed calfskin with copper filigree. Curved blade with hollow sides, length 96.9 cm, engraved on its obverse “GIVEN BY THE KING. ". Back engraved "Manufre Rale de Klingenthal 7bre 1843". Sheet steel scabbard with two bail straps stamped on the back near the bowl entrance "Manceaux a Paris".

Very good condition, slight oxidation on the scabbard, gilding absent on the hilt.
