To His Excellency the Minister of War in Paris.
My lord,
I am taking the opportunity of the departure of Mr. Audet, lieutenant knight of the Legion of Honor who is going home to enjoy half-pay, to send to Your Excellency the Eagle, the Flag and the Tie of the ex-125th Line Infantry Regiment, incorporated into the ex-134th which was itself incorporated into the reorganized 33rd of the same arm.
This Eagle was reported to me and given to me by Mr. Fremanger, Battalion Commander of the said ex-125th Regiment returned from the prisons of Russia, on the 5th of this month, and who not finding himself employed is returning to his homes, pending further orders from Your Excellency, to whom I have the honor to recommend him, assured of the good principles and the entire devotion of this superior officer to our august sovereign.
