Document autographe d'une très belle calligraphie de Gabriel de Montmorency, Seigneur du Bours*, datée du 10 février 1545.

« Quittance de Gabriel de Montmorency, sieur du Bours portant le guydon en la Compagnye des Cinquante Lances fournyes des ordonnances du Roy, estant soubz la charge et conduicte du Sr de La Rochepot (...), reconnaissant avoir reçu de Nicolas de Troyes, conseiller du roy, trésorier des guerres, la sommes de 50 livres tournoies pour nostre estat de porteur de guydon en icelle compagnye du quartier d'avril, may et juin (...).
Signé : Gabriel de Montmorency ».

Velin oblong. 19,5 x 33 cm, avec intitulé au verso.

Issu de la branche des seigneurs de Bours, Courières et Croisilles, fils de Nicolas de Montmorency et de Anne Arnault de Garnaches, Gabriel de Montmorency s'était marié à Michelle de Bayencourt, fille du gouverneur de Dourlens et de Jeanne de Calonne.
