KHUKURI NÉPALAIS, Seconde moitié du 19ème siècle.

Poignée en ébène sculptée, virole en acier. Forte lame courbe à pans creux, longueur 45,5 cm, largeur au talon 3,5 cm. Fourreau en bois gainé de cuir ciré noir à deux grandes garnitures en laiton estampé en relief d'un riche décor de feuillages.

NOTE :
Le khukuri est l'arme nationale népalaise, couteau hautement symbolique pour les soldats ghurkas. Ils servaient selon la légende à protéger le saint guerrier Gurû Gorkhanath pendant sa méditation.

An authenticity certificate of the item including the description published on the site, the period, the sale price, accompanied by one or more color photographs is automatically provided for any item priced over 130 euros. Below this price, each certificate is charged 5 euros.
