One-branch guard in gilded brass. Short-tailed cap, H 6.9 cm. Wooden handle covered in copper filigreed calfskin. Brass ferrule. Curved blade with hollow sides, without marking or punch, length 70.5 cm. Scarlet cloth tie. Black patent leather scabbard with two gilded brass fittings.

Average condition, calfskin of the handle slightly rubbed on the ends, blade oxidized, gilding of the bouterolle missing, leather of the scabbard chipped and rubbed on the edges.

NOTE :
This saber corresponds to the saber of the Imperial Guard infantry but its golden trimmings and its unmarked blade allow us to attribute it to a non-commissioned officer.
