2 lettres à son père « Au Citoyen Grassot Notaire public à Chalon sur Saone », l'une avec le tampon « Huningue » écrite de Huningue le 2 brumaire an 5è (23 octobre 1796), la seconde avec le tampon « Armée du Rhin VIe Div. » de Bourg-Libre le 10 brumaire an 5è (31 octobre 1796).
6 pages de correspondance ; Grassot raconte le quotidien de manière très documentée.

Assez bon état, chaque lettre a une déchirure, dont une avec quelques mots manquants et la partie finale du texte découpé.
