OFFICER'S CZAPSKA OF THE 5th LANCER REGIMENT, model 1854, Second Empire. 20500

Pavilion in dark blue cloth, 3.5 cm wide braid and silver braiding.
Front plate in gilded copper stamped with a radiant sun with the number "5" added in silver metal.
Rosettes in gilded brass, stamped with a lion's head, chinstraps with curb chain lined with a chin strap in scarlet cloth.
Inner headdress in red sheepskin cut into 9 wolf teeth (missing the inner silk lining).
Half-spherical silver tassel, diameter 4.2 cm, mounted on wood, lined with beige canvas and covered with a silver cord.
Scarlet horsehair plume falling with olive pompom covered with a silver cord. H of the plume 28 cm.
Total height 20 cm (without the plume).

Fair condition, trimmings with oxidation from use, missing the silk lining of the inner cap, blow on the back of the bomb having crushed it on one side, visor completely unstitched from the bomb holding only by the rivets of the ring in brass, bomb damaged at the level of the attachment point of the left rivet of the visor.
