Canon octogonal en acier damassé, à pans pivotants au moyen d'une pression exercée sur une vis sous l'arme. Monture en noyer verni, crosse pentée, prise en main quadrillée, extrémité de crosse allant en s'évasant faite d'un bourrelet droit décoré d'une course de feuilles de lauriers, calotte pivotante en argent présentant la tête d'un marin grec antique portant le taenia brochant sur une ancre, sur fond finement martelé.
Sous-garde, arcade de pontet, vis et parties métalliques décorées de rinceaux. Système d'armement issu du système Lepage à percussion interne, s'armant à deux crans au moyen d'un levier en forme de petite manivelle terminée par une protubérance sphérique.
