CUIRASSE D'OFFICIER DE CUIRASSIERS, modèle 1855, Second Empire.

Modèle adopté le 31 mars 1855. Toutes les parties en laiton sont à l'origine dorées. Plastron marqué « Coulaux Frères Klingenthal ». Le plastron et la dossière sont garnis de six rivets. Chacune des deux bretelles a un corps en cuir de vache noir, garni de deux chaînettes en laiton ; le corps est terminé par une plaque à boutonnière rectangulaire, moulée de feuilles de feuillages à fond sablé avec un bout en cuir en forme de cœur ; le porte-bretelles est en laiton avec trois rivets, les plaques porte-chaînette sont recouvertes par un mufle de lion. Ceinture en cuir noir verni.

Très bon état, oxydation superficielle, la ceinture est complète mais cassée sur un côté.
