Monture en laiton. Garde à quatre branches. Lame droite à la Montmorency avec talon et gouttières, longueur 89,2 cm, gravée sur le dos « Mre d'armes de Chat Aout 1874 Dragon mle 1854= ». Cravate en buffle naturel. Fourreau en acier à un bracelet de bélière.

Fabrication de la seconde moitié du XX° siècle à partir de stock de lames encore conservées par le dernier fourbisseur Lefebvre-Lacroix et son successeur, puis rachetées après la mort de ce dernier. Ces fabrications étaient principalement destinées à des pays d'Afrique pour équiper les gardes gouvernementales.
